Wondering what looks are on trend this year?
We get the low down from Josephine Caruso, from the National Creative Team for Australia's leading make-up guru, Napoleon Perdis.
What colours are on trend this year?
• Shades of Green - Jade, Mossy Green, Lime, Khaki.
A statement eye like a deep green eye shadow on the lids isn’t as intimidating as you think. It’s universally flattering and you can easily achieve a quiet elegance when you wear it as a wash or a simple lined eye.
The great thing about green? It’s fresh off the runway, complements all colours of skin and eyes and creates an undeniably glamorous look. From delicious mint to a coveted emerald, the shade of nature looks stunning with a brush of peachy blush and a swipe of apricot gloss.
TRY: Our high pigment Loose Eye Dust in Emeral City, Jaded Genie amd The Life Aquatic for a shimmering finish.
A slick of Luminous Lip Veil in Coral Island is the perfect match for green shadow.
• Earthy and Nude Shades - Almond Brown, Camel.
Flesh-toned hues are effortlessly chic, versatile and can be used for a gorgeous day or night look. Any of these neutral Color Discs and my Mosaic Powder can be used on the eyelids, brows, cupid’s bow and to contour. Nude hues for the eyes, cheeks and lips are fun and fresh colors that can used all year long.
What looks and trends can we expect to see?
- Eyes and Lips
Glamorously lining the eyes to create definition. Bold statements will be made on either eyes or lips in block colours.
The secret is high quality flawless base. Start with Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum, a luxurious elixir that instantly makes skin appear younger with ingredients like Australian berry extracts and tri-peptides. Follow with the famed Pre-Foundation Primer for the ultimate canvas thanks to yarrow extract and chamomile. And then finish off your skin perfect regime with Pore Minimizer and Mattifier to reduce shine with the help of vitamins A and E.
Green has without doubt become a new beauty buzzword in the last year.
