Lena Dunham appears to have taken a swipe at Justin Bieber over the lyrics of his new song 'What Do You Mean?'
Just 24 hours after Justin's performance of his new single 'What Do You Mean?' at this year's VMAs, Lena, 29, took to Twitter with a cryptic message that is eerily similar to the song lyrics:
Let's do away with pop songs where a girl nods yes when she means no and vice versa, k?— Lena Dunham (@lenadunham) August 31, 2015
Lena suggests that the message of the song is a concern when it promotes rape culture.
However, could Lena be misguided and blowing this all out of proportion? In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Justin, 21, went into a bit more detail about the song:
"Girls are often flip-floppy. They say something and then they mean something else. What do you mean?....I don't really know, that's why I'm asking," said Justin.
