Lady Gaga shares her "deepest secret" in interview.
At a charity event for her 'Born This Way' foundation, Lady Gaga told reporters she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.
"I don't have the same kinds of issues that you have," Lady Gaga told a group of homeless youths at a shelter. "But I have a mental illness and I struggle with that mental illness every day."
She later told the cameras: "I suffer from PTSD. I've never told anyone that, so here we are. But the kindness that's been shown to me, by doctors, by my family and friends, really saved my life."
Lady Gaga revealed earlier this year she was raped at the age of 19. It took her seven years to tell anyone after the incident.
