Kim Kardashian Calls Taylor Swift a 'Liar'

Every time you think the Kanye West-Taylor Swift feud is dying down... it rears its ugly head again.

This time, Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian, has set the record straight about what really happened when Kanye recorded a song with a derogatory lyric about Taylor.

"I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous," goes the lyric in his song, Famous.

Following the release of the song and the, er, "swift" media backlash, Kanye claimed he did the right thing and sought Taylor's approval before going ahead.

Taylor's rep quickly shut down the idea that the 26-year-old singer approved the "misogynistic" lyric.

What's more, when Tay Tay took home her Grammy later that week, she made a point of publicly dissing Kanye in her acceptance speech.

"I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments, or your fame,” Taylor said.

However, in an interesting turn of events, Kim claims Taylor not only knew about the lyric, she laughed about it, and later threatened legal action against the release of video footage of her approval!

In her cover story with GQ, Kim said (apparently shaking her head):

"She totally approved that. She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't. I swear, my husband gets so much shit for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved."

She claims Kanye was filming the phone call he made to Taylor - which he often does for his own records and maybe a future documentary - and the only contact they have had since was an attorney's letter from Camp Taylor requesting the footage be destroyed.

GQ called Kanye's people who confirmed the footage and the letter from Tay's attorney, but declined to provide proof.

Taylor's team also released the following statement to GQ:

"Kanye West and Taylor only spoke once on the phone while she was on vacation with her family in January of 2016 and they have never spoken since. Taylor has never denied that conversation took place. It was on that phone call that Kanye West also asked her to release the song on her Twitter account, which she declined to do. Kanye West never told Taylor he was going to use the term ‘that bitch’ in referencing her. A song cannot be approved if it was never heard. Kanye West never played the song for Taylor Swift. Taylor heard it for the first time when everyone else did and was humiliated. Kim Kardashian's claim that Taylor and her team were aware of being recorded is not true, and Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone."

This is one tough nut to crack!
