Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom still legally married

A heartbroken Khloe Kardashian is making all of her ex-husband’s medical decisions after it was revealed the pair are still legally married.

As news broke of Lamar's hospitalisation, an inconsolable Khloe immediately rushed to Lamar’s bedside where he remains in a critical condition.

Khloe flew from Los Angeles to Vegas by private jet with her mum Kris Jenner and pregnant sister Kim Kardashian by her side.

Although Khloe and Lamar both signed divorce papers in July, a judgement has not yet been entered into the family court due to a backlog in the system. TMZ reports it may take up to two months for the papers to go through.

Khloe, who is currently dating US Basketball star James Harden, filed for divorce in 2013 but Lamar refused to sign the divorce papers and stalled the proceedings for two years.

Lamar, who is estranged from his family, remained close with Khloe and the Kardashians after their marriage ended. Khloe recently revealed that the pair continued to stay in touch following their separation and cared deeply for each other.

“Lamar and I loved each other deeply, and I don't believe in just acting like that relationship never existed," Khloe recently said on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

"Things happened, but that doesn't just stop me from caring about him or loving him."

The couple wed after a whirlwind one month relationship in 2009.
