Kelly Clarkson moved judges, contestants and audiences for her final performance on American Idol.
Kelly herself choked back tears as she performed her song, Piece By Piece, about her father walking out on her family and the love she's found with her husband and soon-to-be two children.
"I had [my daughter] River, and even from holding her the first day, I was like, how could anyone walk away from that? Then I started thinking that my husband [Brandon Blackstock] is such a great father," Kelly told Glamour earlier this year.
"I was talking to my sister on the phone about how sometimes girls with daddy issues don’t find men like that! You find men who are all you knew, and I just feel so lucky."
Her powerful and emotional performance moved judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr and host Ryan Seacrest - with Keith unable to control his tears.
