Kate and William Celebrate Their 5th Wedding Anniversary

It has been five years since your favourite royals tied the knot.

Catherine Middleton and Prince William married at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.

Ever since, we've fervently watched on while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed two little ones, made flawless fashion statements and seamless royal visits. 

We've cooed over Prince George's chubby cheeks, and Princess Charlotte's cute smile. We've all secretly hoped we could have a go at Kate's wardrobe and take a trip to her hairdresser. 

On their 5th wedding anniversary, we take a look back at the fairytale romance of our favourite royal couple. 

Timeline:

2001: The pair meet while studying at the prestigious University of St Andrews in Scotland, where the pair studied art history (William later changed his major to geography and graduated with a Master of Arts) and lived in the same residence. 

2003: Rumours of a relationship come to light, but it went unconfirmed for a few years.

2007: Kate and Wills devastate the nation when they split, although kept in contact with Kate still attending several events relating to the royal family.

2010: The happy couple reconcile.

October 2010: Engagement news! Will popped the question while the couple were on safari in Kenya, giving his bride-to-be the engagement ring that belonged to his mother, Princess Diana. The eye-catching white gold ring is a 12-carat Ceylon sapphire, surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds.

2011: Catherine Middleton and Prince Wiliam wed in one of the most memorable ceremonies of our generation. We all know you remember that dress! 

July 22, 2013: The couple welcomed their first child - a son named George.

 

May 2, 2015: Kate gives birth to a baby girl, Princess Charlotte. Wills and George smile and wave outside hospital and it's adorable.

 

April 29, 2016: The pair celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary!
