Kaley Cuoco Weighs In On The Killing of Harambe The Gorilla

'The Big Bang Theory' star has some rather controversial comments to add to the conversation.

Kaley Cuoco has given her two cents on the recent shooting of a gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo after a child entered the animal's enclosure.

The actress condemned the shooting of the endangered animal on her Instagram account today.

"RIP #harambe Im sure I will get tons of backlash (per usual) I mean let's be honest, I wear the wrong sweatpants and the entire world has something to say about it, but once again, another senseless horrendous animal being killed over people not using their brains," she wrote.

"If you watch the footage, you see this gorgeous animal holding that child's hand. Do with that ,what you will. As sad as this makes me, a part of me is happy for that amazing creature doesn't have to live in captivity another day. Bring on the hate!!!!"

One thing is for sure, though. She's not so correct about the gorilla trying to hold the child's hand!

A former zoo keeper has refuted widespread claims the gorilla was showing affection towards the four-year-old boy.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Amanda O'Donoughue said the gorilla's intentions were certainly not to protect or care for the child.

"I have watched this video over again, and with the silverback's postering, and tight lips, it's pretty much the stuff of any keeper's nightmares," she wrote.

"I keep hearing that the Gorilla was trying to protect the boy. I do not find this to be true. Harambe reaches for the boys hands and arms, but only to position the child better for his own displaying purposes.

"Males do very elaborate displays when highly agitated, slamming and dragging things about."

The revelation comes amid claims the local police are opening an investigation into the parents of the child, ABC News reports.

Some claim the parents were negligent when they failed to prevent their child from entering the gorilla enclosure, ultimately resulting in Harambe's death.

This is so silly....I have watched that video over and over and that gorilla was dragging the child through the water. He wasn't being gentle, affectionate or loving in any way. He was showing the child and the onlookers who was boss. Of course I am sad he had to be put down and yes angry that the mother didn't ensure her childs safety but at the end of the day, what outcome do people want? a dead gorilla or a dead innocent child...wake up people.
