Johnny Depp's Daughter Defends Her Father Against Abuse Allegations

Johnny Depp's daughter has spoken about the abuse allegations leveled at her father.

Lily-Rose Depp took to Instagram today to share her thoughts on accusations Johnny was violent with his soon-to-be ex wife, Amber Heard.

"My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know," She wrote.

"He's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same."

After 15 months of marriage, Amber Heard filed for a divorce last week citing "irreconcilable differences". Later that week she also requested a restraining order after Johnny reportedly abused her in a drunken rampage.

According to TMZ, Amber produced a photo of her bruised face after Johnny hit her with an iPhone.

"Amber claims during the alleged attack, Johnny shattered various objects in the apartment. She says she was on the phone with a friend during the fight, and when Johnny grabbed her phone she screamed to her friend, 'Call the cops!' The friend called 911 and cops came to the residence," the gossip site reported.

The restraining order was granted and Depp is temporarily required to stay more than 100 yards away from Amber.

Johnny's lawyer, Laura Wasser, accused Amber of fabricating the domestic violence allegations with the hope of securing spousal support in the divorce proceedings.

"Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse," she stated.

"Her current application for a temporary restraining order along with her financial requests appears to be in response to the negative media attention she received earlier this week after filing for divorce."

Meanwhile, Johnny's former partner and mother of Lily Rose, Vanessa Paradis, also wrote a response to the abuse allegations. In a handwritten letter, she claimed Johnny was "sensitive and loving".

"Johnny Depp is the father of my two children, he is a sensitive, loving and loved person, and I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations being made are outrageous," she wrote.

"In all the years I have known Johnny, he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I live with for 14 wonderful years."

However, friends of Amber reportedly told PEOPLE the alleged abuse occurring last week was not an isolated incident.

Similarly, Daily Mail reports Johnny was "driven insane" with jealousy after suspecting Amber was having an affair with model-turned-actress, Cara Delevingne.

Sources say he thought Amber was "making a fool" out of him by partying and flirting with Cara.
