Jaden Smith may be wonderfully unpredictable - but we couldn't have even fathomed his latest step to stardom.
Sadly, the notion of gender specific clothing hasn't evolved enough since Katherine Hepburn first dared to step out in *gasp* trousers.
So when the son of all-American actor and badass action hero Will Smith started wearing a skirt, there were some questions.
Unperturbed, the 17-year-old actor held his head high and shot down haters with a big, fat "so what?"
All of a sudden, people were like, "hang on a minute, maybe he's onto something here..."
And they were right.
Today it was revealed that Jaden has earned himself a leading gig in the latest Louis Vuitton fashion campaign - for women!
Louis Vuitton Creative Director, Nicolas Ghesquiere, said he chose Jaden because he "represents a generation."
"Why does Jaden Smith star in this campaign? He represents a generation that has assimilated the codes of true freedom, one that is free of manifestos and questions about gender," he said.
Of course, Jaden looks amazing - rocking a skirt like no one else. (We expect no less from someone with the combined genes of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith.)
"Thank you so much Louis Vuitton and Nicolas Ghesquiere for the opportunity to impact the world," Jaden wrote on Instagram.
We can only hope the campaign means more people will be able to wear whatever the heck they want without shame or criticism.
Bring on 2016!
