How to be the first to know when the royal baby arrives

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have revealed the very modern way they will announce the arrival of baby number three.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to welcome their third child in just a matter of weeks and as we await the impending arrival, the couple have announced how they will share the happy news.

Taking a more modern approach to their baby’s arrival, the pair have created an official royal baby website as part of the royal family webpage.

It will be updated with baby news as it happens - meaning we won’t miss a thing.

It’s likely that it will be used to announce when Kate goes into labour and when the little prince or princess is born.

“Updates will be posted on this page and on @KensingtonRoyal's Twitter account as they become available,” the site said says.

The official website - - also features photos of four-year-old Prince George and two-year-old Princess Charlotte along with their birth announcements and milestones.

Traditionally, the royal family announce the birth of a baby, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte, with an official document placed on an easel outside Buckingham Palace.

While the Duke and Duchess are set to stick to this royal tradition, they will be sharing the news instantly via the newly created website and their twitter.

Duchess Kate announced her third pregnancy in September via a press release from Kensington Palace stating: “Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.”

“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

While her due date has not yet been announced, royal watchers are speculating that we could be meeting the new little royal sooner rather than later with April 23 tipped to be the big day.

Whenever the baby is born you will be the first to know!
