Renee Zellweger has opened up about the world’s reaction to her changed face.
When Renee Zellweger stepped onto the red carpet at the ELLE's 21st annual Women In Hollywood Awards in 2014, the world was fascinated by her supposed changed face.
It was hard to escape headlines like, ‘What has Renee done to her face?’ and 'Renee Zellweger: Why does her face look so different?'.
But the 46-year-old managed to not only escape them, but successfully ignore them.
"I know it sounds pretty unlikely that a person might be able to keep herself clear of those words or of that experience, but I have and it takes effort. But I have succeeded," she told Entertainment Weekly.
"What good comes from knowing that something like that has happened? Less fear."
Renee commented earlier this year that she was ‘glad’ people noticed she looked different, which was simply due to changes in her lifestyle and ageing naturally.
"I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows," she said.
Renee will star in the upcoming movie Bridget Jones’ Baby alongside Colin Firth and Patrick Dempsey - her second project since 2010.
She chose the next installment in the Bridget Jones franchise to make her on-screen comeback and there’s a good reason why.
"I like that she tells what it's like to be a woman in these really relatable situations," she said of her famous character. "It's so right to tell a story about Bridget in this stage of her life."
