There's no place for your legs to hide this summer. Wave goodbye to concealing thick tights, heavy trousers and boots and say hello to mini-skirts, micro-shorts and dresses with thigh-high hemlines. There's no denying it - legs are on show this season! But panic not if your pins are in need a good makeover. All you need is some TLC toning, de-fuzzing and clever glossing, and your limbs will rival those of the leggy supermodels in no time.
When it comes to flashing the flesh, cellulite can be the biggest body woe for women of any shape or size. Take poor Mischa Barton, who was famously snapped last summer with heavily dimpled thighs during a sunbathing session. The orange-peel effect usually appears in areas that have poor circulation, so start your mission for enviable legs with a twice-daily massage. Combine with a firming anti-cellulite product to smooth the skin and help diminish lumps and bumps.
Expert tip: "To assist with cellulite, dry body brush every day,"advises Sally Penford from the International Dermal Institute."Brush gently but briskly from the ankles to the knees, then from the knees to the bikini line. This will encourage the lymphatic circulation which enables toxins to be eliminated from the body."
Designer stubble is best left to David Beckham. Us ladies need super-smooth, fuzz-free legs to carry off goddess-worthy tans and shimmers. The best time for shaving or using an epilator on your legs is after a bath or shower, when your pores are open. Red blotchy skin on legs is not a good look. Avoid using an epilator or hair removal cream just before you step out the house. Leaving the de-fuzz process until just before bedtime will allow any irritation or blotches to calm down overnight.
Expert tip: "Dead skin cells can cause ingrowing hairs by blocking thehair follicle. Exfoliate one or two days before de-fuzzing," says Heidi Edwards, Nair leg technician.

Shimmer & Shine
If you thought make-up was just for your face, think again. Leg make-up is a celebrity's best friend on the red carpet. Think of it as concealer for your limbs to help vanish away unsightly blemishes, bruises and thread veins. Skin on the lower leg is thinner and more prone to dry and flaking skin,so make sure you prep your pins first with a moisturising leg oil.
Expert tip: "To make legs appear slimmer and toned, start with a tanning cream all over legs, then take a shimmer, apply to the centre of the legs, starting from the shin, and blend all the way up to the top of the thigh," suggests Chase Aston, Body Shop international make-upartist.
Try: This Works Skin Deep Dry Leg Oil, $80; Dove Summer Glow Body Lotion (400mL), $9.99.
