Harrison Ford has 'near-miss' with passenger plane

Harrison Ford is reportedly being investigated over a "potentially serious" incident involving his private plane.

The Star Wars actor had a near-miss with an American Airlines airliner carrying 110 passengers while piloting his jet in California, according to NBC News.

The 74-year-old is thought to have mistook the taxiway for the runway at John Wayne Airport in Orange County.

No one was hurt in the incident, but Harrison apparently asked air traffic control: "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?"

Landing on a taxiway is against Federal Aviation Administration safety rules and the FAA is now looking into the incident.

It's not the first time Harrison has been involved in a such an incident.

He famously crash-landed a plane onto a Santa Monica golf course back in 2015 after the engine failed.

He suffered a broken arm but was praised at the time for his quick thinking.

Meanwhile, Harrison recently paid tribute to his dear friend Carrie Fisher after she passed away.

"Carrie was one-of-a-kind…brilliant, original,” he said. “Funny and emotionally fearless. She lived her life, bravely.”
