Go Red For Winter

It’s official... red hair is back! And what better time to give yourself a bold make-over, or revamp your current colour, than now?

Even some of the world's most beautiful women are taking part in the ginger revolution - including the formerly blond Scarlett Johansson who recently stepped out sporting a new red do (as well as a new man!) and the gorgeous Blake Lively - who showed off a strawberry blond hue on the red carpet at the Time 100 Gala.

According to leading hairstylists, red is fast becoming the hottest trend – especially leading into the winter months. Whether it be a complete makeover to a vibrant red, a subtle change from blonde to strawberry blonde, or simply a glossy touch-up, we’ve got you covered.

Our friends at Wella Professional has created the new Shimmering Red Colour Service to ensure you’ve got the best colour to suit your style. Choose between:

- Red Gloss Service (to give hair a beautiful, glossy shine)
- Red Vibrancy Service (to give your hair levels of lasting multi-tones)
- Red Intensity Service (for a new intensity of long-lasting, brilliant reds)

Before hitting the bottle, Marie Uva from Rokk Ebony (and Wella Colour Ambassador) recommends speaking to your hairdresser about the best colour to suit your style and skin tone.

“If you are cool in tone you should go more pink based reds, and if you’re warmer in skin tone then go with orange based reds as it will compliment your skin tone,” says Marie.

As for the hottest trends? Marie says to also look out for Wella’s Shimmering Red Tones range – including the popular Desert Storm, Rogue Red, Tequila Sunrise and Blood Orange.

“These are more vibrant and warmer a shade to compliment everyone’s skin tone.”

So, is it time for you to join ScarJo and Blake and revamp your look?
