Gigi Hadid Hits Back at Body Shamers

Gigi Hadid addressed her haters in a heartwarming Instagram post.

Although she’s an international model, Gigi Hadid has been attacked online by body shamers who have made negative comments about her body type, following her appearances during Fashion month.

While Gigi, 20, has walked the runway for designers including Diane Von Furstenburg, Tommy Hilfiger and Versace gaining a standing ovation, the online community has been less than supportive.

Showing that she's vulnerable and human just like the rest of us, Gigi "let the negativity get to (her) a little." Before commencing Paris Fashion Week, the model stood up her herself and other women in a touching Instagram post.

Close family friend Kris Jenner was quick to defend Gigi by sharing the following sentiments on her Instagram account:

This is from one of the sweetest, smartest, and most beautiful girl inside and out, in the world. Why do people with no life, no purpose, who are angry and bitter and ignorant, or just plain nasty and mean, choose to bring everyone else down instead of finding the best in others? I will never understand the BULLYS that lurk on Instagram just to try and ruin someone else's spirit. If all of their horrible negative energy was focused on being positive and seeing good, imagine what a better more peaceful place this world would be. Spread love and joy everyone, not hate. It only reflects what kind of person you are. Something good might come of it...lift others up. Do unto others as you would like done to you....Love One Another. ? #Repost @gigihadid

Boyfriend Joe Jonas, 26, couldn't be prouder of Gigi, showing his support online:

The couple have been going strong, with Gigi revealing that their relationship had been a long time coming, while answering fan questions on Periscope last week.

The former Jonas brothers star actually asked her out when she was just 13 years old at the Grammy's. "I was so nervous; I literally didn't even know what it meant to hang out with a boy," she said. "And also, GRAMMYs are on a Sunday, and I didn’t want to tell him that I had school the next day, so I was like, 'No, maybe next time.'"

Joe never gave up and wrote his number on a piece of paper and gave it to her mum, Real Yolanda Foster, star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

"And then we've been friends ever since," she said. "Except now. We're more than friends. Obvs."
