Emma Stone and Ellen DeGeneres Show Off Their Dance Moves

Watch Emma Stone tap dance, waltz and, er, twerk.

Emma Stone is gaining a lot of Oscar buzz for her latest role in the movie-musical La La Land, and on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week she proved she could certainly hold her own in the film's dance scenes.

Emma and Ellen played a quick round of 'Last Dance' - a game in which the two players take turns demonstrating specific dance moves.

Emma tap danced, twerked, waltzed, did the "stanky leg" and proved she is very familiar with Beyonce's iconic 'Single Ladies' moves.

Ellen, on the other hand, realised she had no idea what the Whip Nae Nae was, but, surprisingly, had an impressive knack for the Irish jig.

La La Land is Emma's third movie opposite Hollywood hunk, Ryan Gosling.

Of their professional relationship, Emma said it was helpful acting across from someone

"It makes it very easy when you know someone, when you've worked with them like that," she told Ellen.

"Learning to ballroom dance, to learn with someone you don't know must be terrifying, and with him I was just sweating all over him and felt fine about it."
