Ellen Degeneres probably didn't see this one coming.
The comedian and talk show host is being sued after making fun of a woman's name on television.
In a segment called 'What's Wrong With These Signs?' a viewer sent in an image of a local real estate agent with the name 'Titi Pierce'.
While Ellen and her audience had a little chuckle, there was clearly one person who didn't find the dig so amusing.
Titi Pierce is now taking legal action against Ellen for the joke, which in hindsight was probably a bit mean.
Watch the segment (the joke begins around 2:49):
Titi, pronounced 'Tee Tee', claims the incident lead to "immediate ridicule".
"In all of her 35 years of life, no one has ever referred to Ms Pierce as “titty” until the Defendant did so on February 22, 2016 on national television,” the lawsuit states.
She also claims the failure to blur out her mobile phone number lead to harassing phone calls. The lawsuit also outlines Titi is a Nigerian name meaning 'flower'.
Titi is suing for damages and wants the segment to never be aired again.
According to The Independent, the lawsuit is filed against Warner Bros. - the parent company of The Ellen Degeneres Show.
