Ellen DeGeneres Paid a Beautiful Tribute to Carrie Fisher

Stars continue to farewell Carrie Fisher - one of the sharpest wits in Hollywood.

On the latest episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen spent her final minutes saying goodbye to one of her beloved friends, Carrie Fisher.

"I want to say something about my friend, Carrie Fisher," Ellen began. "I knew her for a long time. She has been on the show many times, and the last time was just a month ago. And I loved when she was here. She made me laugh so hard. She was smart, she was funny, she was hilariously honest about herself and the world around her."

She then played a clip with some of Carrie's wittiest and funniest segments on the show, the last of which was in November last year, only a month before her death.

At the end of the video, Ellen wrapped by saying: "I miss you, Carrie. I love you."

Carrie and Ellen have known each other for over 20 years, with Carrie even appearing on the show Ellen in 1995.

Carrie passed away on December 27 at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack on a flight. Adding to the tragedy, her mother, Debbie Reynolds, died the following day.
