Find Me a Beach House host, Deb Hutton has enjoyed a long and successful media career, and she always looks amazing. So what’s her secret to looking so fresh and vibrant?
According to a post on her website, Balance by Deborah Hutton, Deb says she gets asked this question a lot, but short of stumbling upon a fountain of youth, the media personality reveals it’s much more practical.
“Looking your best comes down to your approach to life,” she writes, so here are some of Deb’s golden rules:
1. Stick to a daily skin-care regime, cleanse, hydrate and protect. So moisturise big time and use a good sunscreen. Remember to exfoliate regularly as well.
2. Drink water! Not a couple of glasses but at least 1.5 to 2 litres a day.
3. Avoid eating too much fatty food and sugar. I’m far from perfect and love my indulgences, but generally I have a fairly healthy diet – chicken, fish, salads, etc – and steer clear of deep-fried food, soft drinks and too many sweets.
Deb also takes supplements and vitamins to further balance her health, as she confesses she’s “no angel”.
She reveals she swears by milk thistle, because she loves her wine!
“A naturopath told me recently that this magic flower (also known as St Mary’s Thistle) is brilliant for supporting the regeneration of liver cells. Appreciating that our social schedules can overwhelm us at times, particularly in the silly season, I’d stock up on this one big time,” she says.
Milk thistle can be taken in various forms, including capsules and liquid drops, and is said to have a detoxifying effect on the body, as well as boosting the appearance of skin. So, if you’re heading into party season but still want to look fab, perhaps pick up some of these supplements Deb swears by.
