In celebration of a special new episode of Home and Away, created exclusively for online streaming on Presto, we had a chat with one of the show's stars, Dan Ewing.
Dan plays Heath Braxton, the bad boy-turned-honest man, who first entered the show as one of the notorious 'River Boys.'
Much to the disappointment of fans, Dan, 30, departed the series in 2014 when his character up and left Summer Bay to live life in the big smoke with his wife and kids.
Therefore, you can imagine our excitement upon learning Heath would return to screens for an exclusive, one-off special.
Apparently, we weren't the only ones thrilled to hear the news.
"It was like the band was getting back together," Dan says of filming the exclusive new episode, An Eye for an Eye.
"It was such a great experience to come in and work with Lisa [Gormley, who plays Bianca, Dan's on-screen love interest) again, and get to work with some of the new cast."
As Dan looks toward a career in Hollywood, he thanks Home and Away for launching his success.
"Home and Away is an absolute blessing for young Australia actors who are fortunate enough to get a role," he told LifeStyle YOU.
More than that, Dan counts some of the people he met on set as friends for life. He laughs while remembering the good times he had on the show, like filming in Melbourne and London.
But when talking about his all-time favourite scenes, Dan can't go past the first time his character met his baby son, Rocco.
Dan is particularly attached to the episode after becoming a father in real life.
Dan and his wife, Marni Little, welcomed son Archer Grason Ewing in 2014. Dan slips seamlessly into the role of a doting parent, stating fatherhood is like "getting to experience life again."
"[With Archer] seeing animals for the first time, or fish or even just birds - everything is a great experience," Dan gushes. "[He's] such a great little bub.""
Dan keeps a tight lip on his up-coming projects, but admits to having a feature film in the works.
In the meantime, you can catch him in Home and Away: An Eye for an Eye - a Presto original special.
The episode follows Heath's return to Summer Bay after his brother's son is kidnapped by one of the River Boy's arch enemies. Plenty of drama and action is guaranteed.
