Cult beauty buy: Love Beauty and Planet

While it's always good to try natural beauty products, it can be hard to find the ones that you can properly rely on. Until now.

While the ingredients may be natural, vegan and eco-friendly, the reality is that some products just don't have enough grunt - especially when it comes to hair care. While the road to a natural beauty regime may be rocky, India Tarasin remains faithful. So when she discovered a vegan brand claiming their products were designed to reduce water waste, she was intrigued.

Welcome to the genius of Love Beauty and Planet, who pride themselves on their 100 per cent recycled packaging, ethically-sourced ingredients and fast rinsing formulas. While their eco-ethos is impressive, it's the powerhouse results that really make this brand successful. The only thing that they can improve on is their lack of skincare - which needs to happen ASAP, please!

But the best bit, is that you can find their products in your nearest Woolies, Coles, Big W and online. Love it.

Coconut water and mimosa flower aroma shampoo

As someone with fine, wavy hair, it's always been tricky for me to find a solution that works to thicken but also smooth my frizz. So when I tried this shampoo promising volume and bounty, I was skeptical - but I shouldn't have been. This product is the answer to my 25-year prayer.

The clear formula comes in a 100 per cent recycled plastic bottle, and I squeeze a small amount into my hand. The shampoo quickly foams and smells delicious - due to the natural ingredients of coconut water and mimosa flower. I only massage in for a few seconds, then rinse feeling super clean and replenished. When dried, my hair is shiny, smooth, but also thick and volumunous. This is a keeper.

Coconut water and mimosa flower aroma conditioner

After using the replenishing shampoo, I follow the instructions on the conditioner to quickly lather a small amount into my ends and then rinse, to reduce unneccessary water wastage. I'm impressed with their ethos, but will the formula be nourishing enough for my frizzy hair after just a quick run-through?

Yes, yes it is. I rinse the creamy, white formula out and pat dry. After combing my wet hair, it dries into glossy, bountiful locks and I can't help running my fingers through my hair. I even notice that my strands are thicker, there are no split ends and my hair feels so much stronger. After a few weeks of use, I skip my hair appointment because my hair is loving the natrual nourishment of their plant-based ingredients, which I am still surprised work this well. It's safe to say, I will never go back.

Coconut oil and ylang ylang aroma body wash

I've never invested too much in body wash, until I started using this product. Packaged in the same 400ml bottle like its counterparts, the clear, gel formula foams instantly and with just a small amount, disperses around the whole body. While the coconut oil is soothing, it's the ylang ylang that invigorates and freshens my skin. When I pat my skin dry, there's no waxy residue which can sometimes happen with body washes. My skin feels nourished, smooth, and is left smelling sweet and fresh.

Murmuru butter and rose oil aroma body lotion

Designed to give skin the ultimate glow, this gentle lotion just does that. With only one pump, the thin, creamy consistency lathers evenly over the skin. The Amazonian murmuru butter does all the nourishing for a glowy complexion, and the subtle scent of rose provides a fragrant, peaceful atmosphere. While the lotion is not as fast drying as I'd like, it's a beautiful product for nights in to give your skin a gentle nourishing.
