Coloured stones, dried blooms, and ceremonies at dusk: Wedding trends 2018

Weddings in 2018 are all about creativity and integrity, romance and imaginative and personal party details. Get inspired by these new ideas.

From the ring through to the cake, a dreamy destination and wearing a new dress for each key moment of your big day—weddings have become more personalised than ever before, reflecting the tastes of the bride and groom to be instead of tired traditions.

Weddings have also become the ultimate party experience for their nearest and dearest and extended friends and family.

We asked Bondi-based wedding stylists George and Smee to share a few of their top wedding trends for the year ahead. "People are gravitating towards a more personal approach," offers Katie Smee, co-owner and event designer.

"For example, getting a mariachi band because they met in Mexico, asking each guest to bring a flower stem to form the bouquet or using granny’s recipe for the wedding cake… it makes things so special!" Here are nine extra ideas to keep you wedding inspired this year.
