Collette Dinnigan is Designing Bargain Kids Clothes for ALDI

Fashion designer, Collette Dinnigan, is teaming up with ALDI to the delight of parents everywhere.

The chance for us everyday folk to dress our kids in designer threads has come around again with Collette Dinnigan's second collaboration with supermarket chain ALDI.

Collette's Young Hearts collection will be the designer's first foray into clothing for boys, as well as girls.

The range, launching this month, will have clothes for babies through to girls aged 14, and boys aged 8.

The collection by one of Australia's most esteemed designers is sure to fly out the door with prices ranging from $14.99 to $34.99.

The range for girls will include dresses, kaftans, bloomer sets and party outfits, while the boys collection will have knit and woven sets, jackets, board shorts and babywear.

Both boys and girls can also slip into some Collette Dinnigan-designed swimwear, sleepwear and shoes.

Collette said her own three-year-old son "inspired" her designs, and she is excited to branch out into clothes for little boys.

"“It’s been incredibly rewarding to create a quality made, second collection for ALDI, this time for both young boys and girls that carries my design aesthetic," Collette said.

"The all new boys range includes woven sets, knit sets and jackets for daytime dressing; rash vests, cover ups and board shorts; as well as two piece sets and pyjamas.

"Similar to the young girl’s offering, the boy’s clothing is made with natural fibres including printed cotton knits and woven linen shirting. This time around, I have also introduced soft cotton, unisex shoes and espadrilles in a variety of colours."

The Young Hearts collection by Collette Dinnigan will be available in ALDI stores from Wednesday, OCTOBER 19.
