Choosing the most flattering and fashionable sunglasses can be a hard enough task, before you even think about what sort of protection your sunnies are actually providing you.
This summer Perfect Vision is reminding all Aussies that choosing sunglasses with the right protection is extremely important, in order to protect your eyes from the sun, just like you would your skin!
Exposure of UV radiation can cause eye problems and permanent eye damage, so choose sunglasses that protect your eyes from those harmful UV rays. Even if you wear glasses, ensure you’re also equipped with a set of prescription sunglasses for proper protection from the summer sun.
Dr Con Moshegov of Perfect Vision says "Choose sunglasses that are close fitting and check the label for the amount of protection they are providing. Look for sunglasses which have UV 400 or EPF labels on them, or an eye protection factor of 9 or 10, to ensure you are getting the right protection for your eyes."
So now you know what to look for in a good pair of sunnies, we have put together our picks of the most fashionable ones out there!
