Well, that's it folks. It's all over, red rover.
The US election has come to a close and it's a pretty unhappy day for a lot of people, women and ethnic minorities in particular.
Donald Trump has claimed victory in a very close race for President, causing a lot of tears among team Hillary and dumbfounding a lot of Australians in the process.
The celebrity cohort has been particularly vocal in the political realm today, and some aren't holding back their feelings about the election results.
Katy Perry, an avid Democrat and Hillary supporter, took to Twitter to reaffirm her enduring support, saying "WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED" and "THE REVOLUTION IS COMING." She re-Tweeted fellow pop star and attendee of Hillary's rally in Washington DC who also said "Nothing can stop us. Stand up for kindness, equality and love."

Meanwhile, Captain America himself shared a few thoughts on Twitter, frankly admitting he's "devastated".
This is an embarrassing night for America. We've let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We've let a bully set our course. I'm devastated.— Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) November 9, 2016
