Celebrities React to the US Election

Well, that's it folks. It's all over, red rover.

The US election has come to a close and it's a pretty unhappy day for a lot of people, women and ethnic minorities in particular.

Donald Trump has claimed victory in a very close race for President, causing a lot of tears among team Hillary and dumbfounding a lot of Australians in the process.

The celebrity cohort has been particularly vocal in the political realm today, and some aren't holding back their feelings about the election results.

Katy Perry, an avid Democrat and Hillary supporter, took to Twitter to reaffirm her enduring support, saying "WE WILL NEVER BE SILENCED" and "THE REVOLUTION IS COMING." She re-Tweeted fellow pop star and attendee of Hillary's rally in Washington DC who also said "Nothing can stop us. Stand up for kindness, equality and love."

Meanwhile, Captain America himself shared a few thoughts on Twitter, frankly admitting he's "devastated".

See what your favourite celebs had to say about the election:

Well I am one Australian who is not surprised and donated to Mr Trump's campaign.

Anybody supporting Hillary is guilty of culpable ignorance and supporting a totally corrupt DNC who paid provacateurs to sow racial dissension and violence, colluded illegally with a corrupt mainstream media and supporting the depraved campaign manager Podesta.

You people needed this good slap, you are hypocrites. You have listened to a corrupt media and ignored the truth. It is Hillary and the Democratic Machine that is racist and who is deliberately trying to turn the country into a third world hell-hole. I have no sympathy for your crocodile tears. The lives that have been lost in Chicago, Detroit, Libya and the rest of the Middle East due to this woman's actions and the Democratic Party's actions is almost beyond belief. Stop crying and find out what the truth is.

One word for you: "Haiti".
Two words for you: "Clinton (Money Laundering) Foundation".

Katy Perry? You will end up silent because in reality you have absolutely nothing worth saying.
