What would you say about your appearance prior to the Makeover?
Prior to the makeover my appearance was frumpy, drab and older than my years. I dressed in very casual and ‘comfortable’ clothes which lacked shape and colour and definitely did not enhance my figure.

What was the BEST part of the Makeover?

The best part of the makeover was how wonderful it felt when I saw the new me. I felt attractive and confident showing off my figure. I loved all the colour - the dress, my hair and makeup. To see how excited Susannah was with my new look made me feel so proud to have been chosen for the makeover.

What was the WORST part of the Makeover?
It was very confronting and embarrassing to see my pre-makeover photo, especially in front of my friends, work colleagues and thousands on onlookers.

What was the best advice Trinny & Susannah gave you?

Susannah told me I was a ‘bell’ shape (I thought I was a ‘pear’) and explained the difference. She said that although my shape is not one of the easiest, once I mastered how to dress, it is certainly one of the most beautiful shapes…sensuous. Susannah said to show off my curves and bottom (she loved my bottom - the best she’d seen in Australia!) by wearing well fitted clothes.

How has the Makeover changed your life?
For the first time in nearly 20 years I bought a dress which I wear often - to work and on occasions out. It is well fitted (which I always used to avoid) and I get so many compliments when I wear it.

I now know what to look for when buying clothes for my shape, I am learning to embrace my curves and I avoid wearing loose fitting clothing which just makes me look bigger. The makeover has given me some hope that there are clothes that work well for me - it’s liberating having this knowledge and putting it into practice.

Prior to the makeover I detested shopping for clothes and would avoid it where possible. Now that I have a better understanding of how to enhance my best features, coupled with my husband’s credit card (and his blessing to use it!) I enjoy buying fashionable clothes that I know make me look great.
