FEATURED PROFILE

What would you say about your appearance prior to the Makeover?
I was feeling utterly despondent about the way I looked. Nothing seemed to fit right or suit me, so I was reduced to wearing 4 pairs of jeans in rotation, as they were the only thing I felt ok in. I felt dull, colourless and much older then I should. I had lost 20kgs over 4 years, but I felt less body confident than I had pre-motherhood!

What was the BEST part of the Makeover?

The photo shoot and catwalk show were completely amazing! I couldn’t believe it was actually me doing it – was that glamorous figure in stilettos really the same dowdy mothery type who’d walked in there that morning?! Seeing my husband’s reaction was just glorious!

What was the WORST part of the Makeover?

The sheer intensity of the day – what a roller-coaster! I got really upset too that nothing seemed to fit me without being ripped open and reconstructed by the seamstress. Then at the end when I was holding everyone up waiting for my jacket to be ready – I felt terrible, the “problem person”.

What was the best advice Trinny & Susannah gave you?
Trinny pointed out my best features (lower legs, boobs) and told me to stop hiding then in de-feminising clothes. She also told me the narrowest part of my body is my upper waist, and how to accentuate it. Since I’ve been doing that people have been commenting on how slim I look!

How has the Makeover changed your life?

I can’t believe what a difference it’s made. It was just the kick in the butt I needed to remind me that looking after myself and my appearance is a worthwhile thing to do. I’ve remembered the fun, sexy me that I used to be. Thankyou, thankyou Trinny & Susannah!!!
