What would you say about your appearance prior to the makeover?
Prior to the makeover, the only time I ever made any effort, paid attention to what I was wearing or what I looked like, was on special occasions.
What was the best part of the makeover?
The whole makeover experience was wonderful - Meeting Trinny & Susannah, taking on board their advice, being pampered for the day, sharing the experience with a group of great women from all walks of life, and of course keeping the outfit (even though I still can't walk in the shoes).
What was the worst part of the makeover?
The haircut - I wasn't too happy when they cut my long locks after I asked them not to, as my wedding was only 3 weeks away and I needed the length for the hair style I had chosen. Also the film camera's, I froze and stumbled on my words every time the camera came near me!
What was the best advice Trinny & Susannah gave you?
After losing my 30kg post baby weight, they told me to show off the new figure and stop hiding under the 'tent's' I had been wearing. Trinny hit the nail on the head when she asked me 'if I still saw the fat me when I looked in the mirror.
How has the makeover changed your life?
I feel like I have reclaimed the old me, the me my husband fell in love with when we met nearly 9 years ago. I guess when you have children, life becomes so busy that you end up putting yourself last. I have learnt to put myself first again and I certainly won't go back to the baggy unflattering clothes I was hiding behind. Since the show, it has been out with the old and in with the new - I love my new wardrobe and have finally managed to part with some of the old faithfuls!I I can honestly say I am embarrassed now to look back on what I was wearing out in public only a few months ago.
