FEATURED PROFILE

What would you say about your appearance prior to the Makeover?
Messy! I always felt frumpy and half-done. I always knew how I wanted to look but I didn’t quite know how to pull it off or how to let my personality show through in my outfits without scaring people away.

What was the BEST part of the Makeover?

Being looked after by such an amazing team of stylists, hair and makeup artists. Trinny & Susannah were so fun and they knew exactly how to make me feel beautiful and comfortable. Everyone working on the show seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as I was and it just made it that much more fun to know that although I couldn’t see myself until I was on stage at Westfield, they were all looking after me.

What was the WORST part of the Makeover?

The post-show ‘come down’. Going home and facing the task of what to wear every other day for the rest of my life was terrifying. If only I had the means to replace my whole wardrobe the next day! It was over so fast and I was exhausted but in time all the advice I was given on the show came back to me and I was able to start putting their tips into practice.

What was the best advice Trinny & Susannah gave you?

Trinny told me to accentuate my waistline, to wear sweetheart necklines more often and to work with my shape rather than try to hide it. I’ve watched Trinny and Susannah give the same advice to women on their show for years but until they put me in that dress and belt I had no idea of the mistakes I’d been making.

How has the Makeover changed your life?

It’s a slow process so I have a long way to go, but I’m learning to wear my clothes differently, in more flattering ways and I’m making an effort to wear more accessories. I’m putting more time and thought into my appearance and I no longer tell myself that there’s no need to try to look nice until I lose 20 kilos.
