What would you say about your appearance prior to the Makeover?
I was very unhappy with my appearance – I can even go so far as saying that I despised the way that I looked and felt my body had let me down. My appearance was plain and tired. I had absolutely no confidence and dressed in black most of the time so as to blend into the background. My appearance and attitude towards my body totally went against what I try and instill in my belly dance classes which is that all women are beautiful no matter their shape or size.

What was the BEST part of the Makeover?

The experience as a whole was amazing therefore it is far to difficult to pick out one best thing about the makeover. A few things that come to mind are meeting Trinny & Susannah in person and seeing in person how genuine and warm they both are, spending time with fabulous women and seeing the look of pride on my sons and husband when I walked down the catwalk.

What was the WORST part of the Makeover?
The worst part of the makeover was having my hair cut! I was so stressed about having my hair cut as I have been trying to grow it for so long and the hair stylist cut my hair too quickly for me to notice! I now have nicknamed him “The Ninja”. I also think the day was too rushed. I would have liked to have spent more time with T&S.

What was the best advice Trinny & Susannah gave you?

Trinny pointed out to me that my perception of my body is very distorted. It was a shock to me and I am now much kinder to myself. Trinny also advised me of my body shape and how I should dress to flatter my figure.

How has the Makeover changed your life?

I have more confidence in experimenting with fashion and know what looks good on me. I get lots of compliments from family, friends, co-workers and most importantly my husband although he would always compliment me prior to the makeover – the only difference is that now I believe what he says.
