What would you say about your appearance prior to the Makeover?
I would say that my appearance in my home life was pretty non-descript. My efforts where all towards hiding any bulges that seem to have arrived with age. Not that it was boring just big and baggy.

What was the BEST part of the Makeover?

All of the makeover was fun but the best part was meeting Trinny and Susannah and the other ladies. It was interesting to meet other people with body issues that didn’t know me in any other forum. I was also interested in what Trinny and Susannah has to say about what style would suit me and what sort of clothes were chosen.
Some of the other ladies where unrecognizable once they were “made over” so that part was fun, trying to figure out who they were!

What was the WORST part of the Makeover?

Definitely the parade in front of (it turned out) hundreds of people. I was so scared I felt sick the entire time. The concept of flaunting my body (not matter how effectively it was wrapped) in front of that number of judging eyes was terrifying. It had also been a long long day and I was extremely tired and couldn’t wait to get home to some form of normality.

What was the best advice Trinny & Susannah gave you?

Strangely it was to not worry about what others thought, to celebrate myself and my unique gifts and do the best with what I had. I guess focus on the good parts and ignore the bad. The clothing advice was good too but I expect that I was aware of what I SHOULD be wearing just not wearing it with much confidence. They certainly showed me how to celebrate my curves with attitude!

How has the Makeover changed your life?

I would love to say that it did. I guess in small ways, it gave me for confidence to try something new and to be myself and not worry other people’s judgment. Some of the other ladies in our group where no doubt changed in the extreme and it was wonderful to see them so transformed by new concepts and confidence. It was certainly worth it just to see other lovely women really “see” themselves for the first time as sexy or beautiful.
