“I’m finding a lot of celebrities are moving away from the classic straight, blow-dry look and towards a more ‘undone’ sexy look,” explains Renya. “Emma Stone, Lara Bingle, and Sienna Miller are rocking the textured lob for a more effortless, tousled feel,” she adds, noting that the key to this look is working with your natural hair, creating effortless style with texture sprays and curling tools.

Long haul hair hydration

“When travelling on long flights, I suggest celebrities  wear a hydrating mask to lock moisture in. If you put your hair in a loose bun on the flight no one will even notice, and once you arrive at your destination rinse your hair, and you will see a big difference in the moisture and feel of your hair,” suggests Renya.

Essential celebrity product

Dry shampoo is a celebrity's best friend when they have a few days between shoots, reveals Renya. “When your hair starts to get oily, separate pieces of hair with a comb and spray dry shampoo through, whilst brushing through the hair. This will not only soak up all the built-up oil, but will also extend the volume and shape from your blow-dry.”

Best celebrity budget buy

“My secret budget buy is my orange and jasmine essential oil blend that I make myself and spritz into my clients hair,” Renya discloses. “The aroma is really soothing and creates a really beautiful, relaxing energy.”

Standout celebrity performance in hair care, goes to….

“Recently working with Cate Blanchett at the Oscar’s I noticed that she definitely has beautifully cared for hair,” Renya notes. “When you have short, coloured hair like Cate it is important to protect the hair from colour fading, whilst also retaining the hair’s natural moisture,” she says, naming Wella’s SP Colour Save Mask as a favourite as “it retains colour and moisture within the hair, while also providing an intensive treatment.”

Jules Sebastian, television presenter, makeup artist and stylist to stars including singer Samantha Jade.

“I think most celebrities want to look their best at all times,” says Jules. “It depends on the person and their style but I think keeping a professional and tailored look for everyday wear is what most celebrities want out of their wardrobe,” she says.

Hottest fashion hue

Grey is the new black this season. “It’s all about grey on grey on grey,” says Jules. “I like to combine different shades and textures of grey to get depth and make it interesting and combining it with white and black will give it a modern edge.”

How to: look curvaceous

“Wear a slim belt around your middle to cinch the waist to make it appear smaller than the hips. Instant curves!”

How to: look taller

Wearing a high-waisted jean or skirt with a shirt or top tucked in with heels will give the illusion of height, advises Jules.

“ I love double denim – even triple denim!” enthuses Jules. The best way to pull this off is to wear a lighter shade with a darker shade, she adds. “For example, a light denim shirt or jacket paired with a dark pair of denim jeans. I also love to put leather with denim – always cool and always on trend!"

Best celebrity fashion find

“I think a simple white shirt is a forever piece that will never go out of style or break the budget,” says Jules. “There are so many different ways to wear a white shirt; dressed up with a pencil skirt or tailored trousers or worn with jeans for a more casual approach. It’s a staple and a must have for all people – not only models and celebrities!”

Jocelyn Petroni, beauty, nail and skin therapist and the first official Australian manicurist for CHANEL has worked with Miranda Kerr, Megan Gale, Delta Goodrem and Olivia Palermo.

“I love a classic beauty look so I’m happy that short, neat nails are currently requested along with beautiful nudes in all types of gorgeous hues and pigments. Wearing a blunt nail also means colour can be bold and still look sophisticated," says Jocelyn.

Fuss-free manicures on the go

Vinylux paint on polish sets in 8.5 mins without UV curing,” says Jocelyn. “It also lasts longer than regular paint on polish plus it stays glossier and chip free for longer.”

Reviving neglected nails

“Apply top coat over a fresh manicure daily, your manicure will last twice as long!” she assures.

Ban the bite

”Book regular manicure appointments every two weeks,” Jocelyn suggests for nail biters. “I find this is the best cure for nail biting." Once you’ve invested in having great nails and your manicurist supports this commitment, together you’ll achieve beautiful nails.

Hydrating hands

“Keep cuticle oil handy and apply every few hours while flying," suggests Jocelyn. “I like to carry a multi-purpose oil that I can apply to my face, hair and nails throughout my flight, like Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse,” she says.

Top tone

The new Chanel Les Beige range is a beautiful collection of nude hues that are pigment rich so they make a soft beautiful statement, gushes Jocelyn. “My favourite is the Beige Pur, a light coloured milky-beige with a glossy finish that looks fresh and clean.”

Best budget buy

Lucas Paw Paw Ointment protects sore cuticles and broken skin from being affected by polish remover and anything else used in a manicure that bitten cuticles may not like, says Jocelyn.

Must-have celebri-kit

A nail file, nail polish and hand cream. "Without my hand cream I can’t massage my client’s hands and this is where I connect with my client and they connect with me."

Melanie Burnicle, Revlon Makeup Director for Australia and New Zealand has worked with Jess Mauboy, Isabel Lucas, Sophie Monk, Carly Rae Jepson.

“Radiant skin is in!” says Melanie. “It’s strutting down the runway all over the world and having luminous skin that glows is a celeb must-have."

Applying lip colour

“Press your finger into the lipstick and pat it onto your lips,” suggests Melanie. “Build up to the desired coverage and pigment intensity. This keeps the natural lip line soft with a beautiful hue of colour. I use this technique all the time on shoots and whatever is left on the finger, I pat onto the cheek to tie the look together."

All-day stay foundation

“Apply to well hydrated skin with the fingertips as it helps to heat the product up and allow blending.”

Curling lashes

“If your lashes are super straight, curl right at the lash line then release. Move your curler a tiny bit further down the lash and clamp together each time. Repeat this until you're about halfway down the lash.”

Budget beauty buy

Revlon Skinlights in Nude. "I love mixing it into the foundation for radiant skin or applying as a highlighter along the cheekbone, forehead and even the peak on the top of the lip.”

1. Mascara: This can also double as an eyeliner if you dab a liner brush into the mascara.
2. Lipstick: Colour can provide multiple uses; on lips, cheeks and as a cream eye shadow.
3. Revlon Photoready Insta-fix Makeup. "This product can be used as a concealer or foundation – no brush needed!" says Melanie.

Standout celebrity performance in beauty, goes to….

“Jessica Mauboy, she is as beautiful on the inside as on the out,” enthuses Melanie. “Her skin is amazing and has a natural glow."
