Amy Erbacher’s Beauty Tips

Actress turned beauty queen, Amy Erbacher, is who the stars see when they want a fake tan or skin treatment. Here, she reveals all her A-list secrets.

What is your beauty mantra? “Be confident and love yourself!”

What is your must-have beauty product? “I love Payot Serum DE CHOC- for stressed or tired skin and Becca Mineral Foundation – the packaging is so chic!”

What are your top tips for great skin? “Healthy lifestyle, healthy diet, love, laughter, massages, active serums, SPF 30+ zinc, water and organic herbal tea to flush out toxins.”

What treatments do your famous clients usually go for? “Facials and spray tans. My signature facial is very popular. I’ve put a lot of time into researching what’s out there for facial treatments and what’s lacking. The facial entails the famous Payot 42 step massage, collagen masque treatment, arm and leg massage. This treatment hydrates the skin and it just glows!”

What is the most common beauty complaint you hear? “Sensitive skin! To avoid this you need to buy the correct products for your skin type and condition. So many products on the market aren’t suitable for sensitive skin and therefore cause more damage. See a reputable beauty therapist or skin specialist who will provide you with a professional skin consult to determine what skin type /condition you have.”

Whose beauty look do you covet? “I believe the love from within will shine on the outside. Julia Roberts has a gorgeous smile and infectious laugh. I also like Aussie beauties Sarah Murdoch and Jennifer Hawkins because of their healthy, dewy, radiant skin.”

What beauty rules should women remember this winter? “In the cooler weather, skin tends to dry out and become sensitive so buy a barrier cream and place it under your regular moisturiser. Try not to have too many really hot showers, have a facial every four to six weeks for a deep cleanse and get an active serum to keep the moisture in your skin.”

How can women achieve a great fake tan?

“1. Exfoliate before hand with a dry body brush, loafer or exfoliating mitts.
2. Look for a reputable spray-tanning technician that has attention to detail and good products. I always look for a green base like Techno Tan as the solution is so natural looking.
3. After your tan use a hydrating cream like a Shea butter and make sure you use an oil-free lotion and no products with AHAs, as this will also remove your tan.”

How can women fix a fake tan disaster? “Soak in a warm bath with a few drops of oil to remove the tan and use an exfoliating loofah or mitts to rub your skin in a circular motion. Once out of the bath, use a towel (preferably black) and rub off the tan. More porous areas like the ankles, knees and elbows may require a fake tan remover.”

soak in a warm bath of oil mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm dont think so , some people would actually think you are saying fill up the bath with oil, it should say soak in a warm bath and add a little of your favourite oil, also too much oil would make the bath slippery and dangerou's.
