Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have come to a divorce settlement out of court following a week of uncomfortable revelations about their relationship.
The agreement will see Johnny pay US $7 million to his ex wife, which she will donate to charity.
The pair released the following statement to PEOPLE:
"Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity."
The deal also settled the domestic violence lawsuit against Johnny the day before it was due to be heard in court.
Both parties were expected to present a slew of evidence over the five-day trial, including allegations Johnny cut off the tip of his finger and scrawled disturbing messages to Amber on a mirror.
This was the latest disturbing claim levelled against the 53-year-old actor, who was also shown being drunk and aggressive toward his ex-wife in a video released by TMZ earlier this week.
Amber, 30, and Johnny met on the set of their film The Rum Diary in 2011. They were married in February 2015 and Amber filed for divorce in May this year.
