The Smeg x Disney collaboration is here... so would you buy a Mickey fridge?
To celebrate 90 years of Disney and 70 years of iconic italian appliance brand, Smeg, you can now buy a limited edition fridge featuring a huge black-and-white sketch of Mickey Mouse.
Designed and manufactured in Northern Italy, the fridge is white and takes the form of Smeg's iconic '50s retro FAB design, with a touch of magic - as a full-length bespoke drawing of Mickey adorns the bottom half, cheekily reaching for the door handle.
“As an Italian brand passionate about style and design, we love giving consumers the opportunity to add their own flair to the heart of the home," says Olivia Anderson, from Smeg. "Disney has always embraced the fun in life, bringing families together through entertainment in the home, which is something we also strive to deliver through a love of food and artistry."
Retro vibes, new tech
As well as making a visual statement, the new release also embraces technological innovation. The Life Plus 0°C drawer is a new feature on these models, and is basically a controlled temperature zone for longer preservation of perishables - so hopefully you'll enjoy less wilted or soft veggies!
Each Mickey Mouse FAB28 fridge is decorated with a silver plaque to signify this iconic collaboration, just to make you feel even more special.
How much is it?
At the moment, Winning Appliances and Appliances Online are taking pre-orders of Smeg’s Mickey Mouse FAB28 fridge, but don't expect to get it for a steal. Priced at $3,490, this is truly a piece for the dedicated Disney fan.
