Indulging in a bit of retail therapy while making money at the same time has just become reality with this online shopping platform.
Remove the guilt of splurging on that pair of shoes that you’ve been dreaming about with this handy portal.
ShopBack has been a popular way of shopping for most of the Asia-Pacific region since launching in Singapore in 2014, and the portal just celebrated it’s first birthday in Australia.
What is ShopBack?
Boasting over 900 household brands, you can access popular shopping destinations such as The Iconic, Woolworths Online, Booking.com and David Jones, just to name a few.
After signing up (on their website) you can start purchasing everyday items like groceries and even holidays – all while getting cash back.
You can also download the mobile app for any purchases you need to make on the go.
What are the benefits?
“The biggest incentive for the consumers – besides inspiring their next retail discovery – is earning a percentage of real cashback on all their online purchases made through ShopBack’s website or app,” explains Angus Muffet, ShopBack Australia Country Manager. “This is on top of existing sales and amazing deals that the retailer may already have in place.”
What’s the catch?
Angus is happy to report that there’s no catch here and details that their processes are completely transparent.
“Our partners pay us a commission every time a successful order is placed through us. We then share that commission with the customer as cashback,” he explains. “The amount appears as pending until the retailer’s return policy concludes, then it is available to withdraw. It’s as simple as that.”
