ALDI's got vegan chocolate for sale this Easter

ALDI's got your dairy and egg-free chocolate needs covered this Easter, with its exclusive range of vegan-friendly chocolate.

With creamy milk chocolate eggs hitting supermarket shelves just after Christmas, vegans might be feeling a little left out this Easter, with not much on offer to satisfy their sweet tooths.

Enter ALDI, which is offering a selection of vegan chocolates especially for Easter.

The Sweet William Chocolate Bunny, retailing for $9.99 and sold exclusively in ALDI, is free from dairy, gluten, nuts and egg, making it perfect for vegans or those with nut allergies this Easter.

If you're egg and dairy-free but still keen to be part of the egg hunt on Easter Sunday, ALDI's Choices Dairy Free Easter Egg at $6.49 is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

For another alternative to milk chocolate this Easter, the iconic Lindt Gold Bunny's dark chocolate variety is available for $4.50 and is also free from dairy products.

And for a vegan breakfast that's perfect for a lazy Easter long-weekend, try whipping up our cinnamon pancakes, or our vegan Tim Tams for a mid-morning snack.

Even if you're not strictly vegan, giving up milk chocolate for a couple of days each year could be beneficial to the environment, with dairy cows responsible for about 3% of all global greenhouse gas emissions and dairy production using roughly 12% of all the water used in Australia.

Whether you opt for regular or vegan chocolate this Easter, just make sure there's a lot of it!
