The brothers are burying the hatchet after months of an ongoing rift.
Prince Harry and Prince William have reportedly been arguing long before Harry and his wife Meghan Markle decided to leave the Royal family.
Their feud is said to have started in December 2018 when Harry told William he wasn’t doing enough to welcome his then fiancé Meghan into the royal family.
Fast forward a year-and-a-half later and it seems the pair and finally starting to make amends.
“There have been clearly some quite major rifts in that relationship, but things have got better and I know that William and Harry are in touch on the phone,” royal expert Katie Nicholl has told Entertainment Tonight.
The distance between the pair, with Harry Meghan and their one-year-old son Archie now living in Canada and Prince William and his family in the UK, has seemingly resolved the ongoing rift between the pair.
But the one thing that brought them back together was their father, Prince Charles.
When the 71-year-old became sick with Coronavirus, the brothers were able to reconnect, resuming the bond they once shared.
“They have done video calls together, they have done a lot of family birthdays and I think with Prince Charles not being well, that really forced the brothers to pick up the phone and get back in touch,” Katie explains.
As the brothers come back together, it’s understood Meghan and Catherine have also begun speaking to one another again.
“I think there is a sense of relief on both sides that this high drama is now a thing of the past,” Katie said.
“The Sussexes are free to get on with their new lives (and) the Cambridges can get back to their old lives without all the upset and drama that was clearly a big deal behind the scenes.
“I think Kate and William miss Harry and Meghan to a degree, but certainly they miss Harry (being) around and part of their lives.”
The families are said to have also reunited for Archie’s first birthday on May 6 via video call.
“I am quite sure there would have been communication between the Cambridges and the Prince of Wales and I am told Harry picks up the phone regularly to his grandmother, the Queen,” she said.
“They had that same call on her birthday. I'm sure there was a Zoom birthday call for Archie, too.”
With Covid-19 placing a ban on travel, Meghan and Harry may have to get used to chatting to their royal relatives via video calls for many months to come.
