Royal baby number 3 due date revealed as wedding plans move forward

Between Meghan and Harry's impending nuptials and Kate and Will's third baby - it's all happening for the British royals!

If you thought it was difficult keeping up with the Kardashians, we've been flat out trying to stay on top of the British royal family lately.

With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding around the corner, Kensington Palace continues to drop nuggets of news from the planning room - from details of their wedding cake to their invitations.

According to the Kengsington Royal social media pages, Harry and Meghan's invitations are officially in the post ahead of their May 19 wedding.

Prince Charles issued the invitations, which include a request to attend the service at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, followed by a reception lunch hosted by the Queen. 

The traditional-looking invitations, made by Barnard and Westwood, bear the Prince of Wales' three-feathered badge in gold, while the rest is black and white.

In other Royal Wedding news, Harry and Meghan revealed they wouldn't be serving the classic fruitcake but would instead offer an organic lemon and elderflower cake.

Since the announcement, pastry chef Claire Ptak of Violet Cakes in London, received another kind of 'royal' enforsement, with celebrity chef Jamie Oliver congratulating her on the gig.

"Nice one Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! Great choice!!! @violetcakeslondon is one of the coolest cooks and bakers I've ever met... always a favourite in our house," Jamie wrote on Instagram. "Her cakes are all totally delicious, and look great, I really love how she properly embraces seasonal ingredients in baking. sooo good excited. big love Claire!"


If that's not enough wedding news for you, Madame Tussauds also announced a Meghan Markle wax figure will be made to stand alongside Harry's before the Big Day. 

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge has stepped out for her final engagement before taking a break for maternity leave. Kate and Prince William visited aspiring athletes, with Will even taking part in a bit of wheelchair basketball. 

The couple also enjoyed the Commonwealth Big Lunch, where Kate revealed Prince George, aged four, and Princess Charlotte, two, love making fresh pizza dough. Addressing the crowd, Kate confirmed the royal kids are keen to get their hands dirty in the kitchen if it means playing with dough.

Kate and Will are expecting their third child in April.

While a precise due date is unknown, Royal enthusiasts are predicting an April 29 delivery date. The Daily Mail reports both George and Charlotte were born five weeks into the Duchess' maternity leave, concluding an April 29 birth date would fall into this pattern.

Interestingly, the couple are set to announce the baby's arrival via a new website, as well as via the Kengsington Royal Twitter account. 

The Royal Baby page will also house updates on Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
