You won't have to wait too long for the next royal wedding!
Kensington Palace confirmed the news along with the location, which will be St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Interestingly, the date will provide a dilemma for the groom's brother, Prince William, who was expected to attend one of England's biggest sporting events on the same day, the Football Association Cup Final.
As the head of the Football Association, Prince William typically attends the soccer event, where last year he awarded the trophy to the winner.
However, as Harry's rumoured best man, it is assumed William will instead head to his brother's wedding.
Harry and Meghan's wedding is atypical in more ways the one, specifically that it takes place on a Saturday, whereas royal weddings are usually held on a weekday.
The marriage of Harry, 33, and Meghan, 35, is also unusual in that Meghan is divorced from a previous marriage, and will be the first African American woman to enter the British royal family.
She and Harry announced their engagement in November 2017, after 18 months of dating.
Prince Harry made more headlines over the weekend for his relationship with another American - Barack Obama.
Harry interviewed the former US President as a guest editor of BBC 4's Today program. While the full interview is set to be released on December 27, we already know the two share a special friendship.
Upon the news of the royal engagement, Barack tweeted: "Michelle and I are delighted to congratulate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their engagement. We wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness together."
