Buckingham palace ‘listed’ for sale by British real estate agent

The 300-year-old property is listed for sale, but there’s a catch.

The royal landmark has been listed for sale by online real estate agent Emoov, but before you get too excited you can’t actually move in.

The listing is a glimpse at what it would be like if Buckingham palace was put on the market and it looks pretty amazing!

"Emoov is delighted to bring to market a home that is quite literally fit for royalty," the listing reads.

"Ok, so not really. But there's no harm in imagining yourself living in the Queen's quarters is there?"

Property features listed include its close proximity to Victoria mainline train station in London and St James Park,  swimming pool, a doctor's surgery, On-site Post Office and gated security.

“Recently renovated, the property comprises 78 bathrooms, 188 staff rooms, 19 state rooms and has charming period features throughout. There are 92 on-site offices, too, which takes working from home to a whole new level,” the advertisement continues.

“Buckingham Palace might not actually be for sale. But can you guess how much it would go on the market for should The Queen decide to sell up?"

So, what price can you put on a palace with hundreds of years of history? It’s listed for £4.9billion (AUD$8.8billion).

The Queen and Prince Phillip aren’t currently residing at Buckingham Palace due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. They’ve taken up residency at the smaller Windsor Castle which requires less staff.

Although they aren't currently living at Buckingham Palace, we’re not sure how they would feel seeing their home listed for sale.

But we can only imagine that one would not be amused!
