Archie's christening: Harry and Meghan share the official photographs

It was a momentous occasion for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as they celebrated the christening of their little boy during a private gathering at Windsor.

There was a lot of speculation around the day, with the pair deciding against the public process usually required of the royal family, instead choosing to keep the ceremony and identity of Archie's godparents under wraps.

Despite their desire to remain private, both Meghan and Harry did share some photos with the world via Instagram, clearly capturing the love and joy the new parents feel toward their only child.

A few hours after the ceremony in Windsor, an official image was released in which they posed alongside Archie's grandparents, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince of Wales and Doria Ragland, as well as the late Princess Diana's sisters, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, and in-laws, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle.

The Queen was notably absent, citing scheduling conflicts.

Meghan looked stunning in a Christian Dior dress, while Archie wore the same christening gown that his cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis wore on their special days.
