Selling Houses Australia

Yallingup, WA House - Before + After

Take a closer look at the amazing Yallingup house makeover completed by Shaynna, Charlie and Andrew.

Trevor and Susan’s bought this house with they intention of living a dream of running it as an art gallery and living there.

Unfortunately, one year after they bought the house, Susan was told the Cancer she thought was in remission was back and this time it was terminal. Their dreams of retiring at the gallery were shattered so they decided to put the house on the market.

Sadly, it has not sold. This is putting extra pressure on their son (who has a young family of his own) and the extra stress of earning enough to pay all the bills plus his parents mortgage. Susan and Trevor feel very guilty about the situation and called in Selling Houses Australia to help.

Summary of works – Interior

This property has an industrial character about it that Shaynna incorporated into the interior style but she added a touch of ‘Palm Springs’ with some bold colours. The floor plan needed addressing to allow buyers to see past the ‘Gallery’ section of the house and create a more residential feel a few areas. This began with the conversion of a large bedroom into a family size bathroom, as well as another bedroom. We installed new bath ware including a freestanding bath and shower. The toilet was kept separate. The part of the house that had been the gallery was transformed into a living area and kitchen. The kitchen had new appliances, increased bench space, and a stainless steel island for that touch of industrial charm.
There is now a plethora of loft space to hide away in and a full functioning studio annex, which could be rented out for extra income.

Summary of works – Exterior

Outside Charlie has pulled out all the stops with this green wall which makes the entrance to this property very impressive. These laser cut house numbers are a stylish touch too. In the entertaining area the industrial feel of the interior is continued with this concrete top table and furniture.

I would love to know who the artist of the horse paintings used in the makeover is. I have never seen paintings done from a rider's point of view before and would love to have one of my pictures I've taken while riding done
