From the moment we put down roots and start a family, any vacation turns into a real challenge. Preparing for a holiday in my eyes resembles a puzzle, and every piece must find its place before we can sit down to enjoy the magnificent view and well-deserved rest.
First, there is the asking for some time off (and hoping that no sudden flood of work will make your boss change his / her mind about that). Then there is the health situation in the family - going on vacation with a sick family member sucks all the fun out of it, and many people decide to postpone or cancel a holiday because of this reason. Then there is the weather - no one wants to drive for hours only to spend the weekend stuck indoors, because it's raining cats and dogs out there.
Now add trying to book an accommodation in your favorite holiday place, when all the good spots are taken, every nice cottage or hotel is fully booked and has a long waiting list, and you have enough complications to make the most determined person just give up, because it's too darn hard!
Even if you've managed to overcome all the planning and booking obstacles - you still have to pack. Depending on the type of accommodation you've chosen there will be more packing or less packing, but make no mistake - there definitely will be a lot of packing involved. Followed by unpacking when you arrive to the holiday place, and followed by packing all over again before you go back home.
But what if... you didn't have to book or pack anything? What if you could just go, completely on the spur of the moment, any time when the weather is nice?
It may sound like a dream but it's real, and it's called "owning a holiday home".
Having a holiday home dismisses your dependency on vacant accommodation every time you feel like getting away from the city. No need to spend hours on the internet searching for suitable places to stay, no booking, no paying deposits and later chasing the agency to have them returned, no overpaying because of the high season rates, no disappointments because your favorite spot is all booked.
Having a holiday home cuts packing to the minimum, because once you've equipped it with all you need, everything just stays there.
With your vacations made so much easier you will have more of them. Why not?!
Friends will love to spend time together with your family, which is something you couldn't have in a hotel or a bed and breakfast.
Earning some extra income is definitely a possibility when you're not using the holiday home yourself - lease the vacation property and enjoy the rewards.
And, if you've bought wisely - your property will appreciate in value over time.
