The Property Brothers Have Turned Into Country Musicians

The Property Brothers are pursuing a new passion project - country music.

Jonathan and Drew Scott are usually known as TV's hunky Canadian home experts, but have taken their careers in a new direction.

Today, The Property Brothers come together as The Scott Brothers to release a music video for their debut country music single, 'Hold On'.

The video released exclusively to Entertainment Tonight proves the twins aren't just real estate geniuses - they can hold a decent tune and still look damn good while doing it.

According to Drew, the idea to venture into music came to them while filming the series Property Brothers: At Home on the Ranch

"We grew up on a ranch, spending almost every other day sitting around a camp fire, strumming songs on the guitar, singing songs with our parents," Drew told ET.

"This past year, we were shooting Property Brothers: At Home on The Ranch, where we went back to our roots to renovate a friend's property in the Rockies. While we were doing this, we were talking with a producer and singer-songwriter from Nashville, and we said, 'You know, while we're doing this show, we should write a song and pay tribute to how we grew up.'"

The siblings wrote and performed the song about being away from family.

"We're always on the road [filming for our show] and always away from home," Drew and Jonathan explained.

"When you get to spend that time with family, it means so much more. So that's what we wanted the song to be about. When we were writing it, it just sort of rolled off the tongue, and we were already envisioning what the music video would look like."

The Scott Brothers singles 'Hold On' and 'Let the Light Shine in' are available on iTunes - and an album is rumoured to be on its way!
