Making a good first impression is absolutly vital when you’re selling a house, and that means creating great street appeal.
Without it, buyers will just drive on to the next house, and you could easily lose that all-important sale.
So how do you create great street appeal?
• Make sure you have a clear and welcome entrance to entice the buyers inside – and that means having one obvious front door.
• Attractive planting, weed free gardens and clean paint work tells buyers that the house is well cared for and maintenance free. To create a sense of arrival, use pots to frame the front door.
• Matching blinds at the front of the house can create a smart first impression, but make sure they’re adjusted to the same height.
• And don’t forget to clean the windows!
But what do you do if your house is so ugly plants and blinds will never fix the problem? Well the trick is to hide it behind a tall hedge or wall to create a mysterious exclusive feel. If the entrance and interior look amazing, buyers are likely to overlook its faults.
