Selling Houses Australia: The Best Ever Kitchen Renos

We take a dive into the Selling Houses Australia archives to bring you the best kitchen 'inspo' for your home renovations.

Selling Houses Australia season nine is about to kick off on the LifeStyle Channel and we couldn't help but reminisce about some of Shaynna, Andrew and Charlie's biggest challenges so far, particularly in the kitchen.

There's no doubt that the kitchen is one of the biggest selling points when it comes to putting your place on the market. Here, we take a look at some of the top kitchen renovations the guys have put together throughout past series.

Bilgola Plateau, Season 1

This NSW home was owned by Australian Idol voice coach Erana Clarke and her family. It was cramped, run down, a bit messy and, quite frankly, falling apart. Then it received a makeover...

Haberfield, Season 8

A few walls had to be knocked down to expand the kitchen in this federation home in Sydney's inner west. New flooring, new bench tops, new appliances - Shaynna spared no expense on this renovation.

Glen Iris, Season 2

This home in Melbourne's suburbs desperately needed a modern touch. The matte grey floor tiles, the white benches and bench tops, and the rustic table and chairs give it character, while bringing into the new millennium.

West Footscray, Season 3

Oh dear. This kitchen in Melbourne desperately needed a makeover. No more retro tiles or cupboards, please. Again, you'll notice the grey and white trend sneaking in here too.

West Ryde, Season 6

Check out those swanky new floor boards! Prior to this makeover the kitchen was disorganised, crowded and, well, a bit ugly. Shaynna removed all the clutter, making it look clean and tidy, with a pop of fresh colour.

Brookvale, Season 8

This heritage listed house in north Sydney was a beautiful work of art... except for its teeny, tiny kitchen. With all the extra space, Shaynna opened up the kitchen and played into the home's old and dramatic architecture with the black and white tiles.

Gladstone Park, Season 7

While the makings of a large kitchen were there - that timber-look laminate cover the cupboards and benches left much to be desired. This run down kitchen received the renovation it needed - turning it into a large, light room with plenty of space.

Wollongong, Season 6

It's amazing what a lick of paint and a new benchtop can do! A lot of the features of this old kitchen were left behind - just minus the scary paint work.
