MEET COLIN AND CLAIRE
Colin and Claire met in 1995 whilst backpacking around Australia. They have not lived in the UK since then but briefly owned property in New Zealand and have settled in Australia since 2005. After finally getting married in September this year, they now feel the time is right purchase property and settle down. They would eventually like to settle in the country but will start off with a primary residence in the city and weekender in the country that they will move to at a later date.

Must have 2 double bedrooms, an outdoor courtyard or balcony for BBQ’s, paring for 1 car and close to train or bus route to city – 20 or 30 mins max travel time to North Sydney. Prefer some character and like Art Deco style. Near a park (for exercising) or trees and on a quiet street. Internal area needs to be about 95sqm so they can fit a desk and computer and bookshelves. Must be bright and sunny. Internal laundry is good. Does not want on-going high strata fees.
A 3 bedroom house around 2 ½ hours drive north of Sydney. Ideally a character house not too far from a village. Coastal community atmosphere with markets, crafts and cafes. Most important is the setting of the house. Needs to be tranquil and picturesque. Would prefer not to do structural renovations. Happy to paint, polish floors and replace kitchen or bathroom. Would love to have a bit of character. Wants vegie garden. Will eventually spend more time here and relocate more permanently in the future.
