Palm Springs is the home of mid-century modern architecture.
Now Australian photographer Tom Blachford has put together a book featuring his stunning and unique takes on the desert city's famous houses.
Shot by the light of the full moon over the course of three years, Tom worked with local homeowners to gain remarkable access to some of the most beautiful properties in Palm Springs.
The result is a series of cinematic and surreal images that go behind the gates of dozens of mid-century modern masterpieces.
Melbourne-based Tom started the project on his first visit to Palm Springs back in 2013, returning several times to shoot homes as they appeared in the '60s.
"To me, Palm Springs is like a living shrine to a lifestyle of sun, cocktails and hedonism," he said.
"It has functioned for so much of its life as a mecca for lovers of design and I wanted to capture a darker side."
